Culture Iconography
by josh radom
CONTEXT
Iconography is defined as βthe visual images, symbols, or modes of representation collectively associated with a person, cult, or movement.β When combined with culture it represents the signals that point to the mainstream. Culture iconography serves as a mirror reflecting our collective consciousness, where symbols resonate far beyond their origins. This visual language evolves rapidly, shaping and reshaping identity, aspiration, and connection. In a world saturated with images, pop culture icons become shorthand for deeper truths. But, I personally believe iconography spans beyond imagery. Anything can be iconic and in turn create signals that create associations.
